Ottime notizie per i fan di Bruce Springsteen e per gli amanti della musica in generale: il 14 dicembre la registrazione dello spettacolo che Springsteen ha presentato al Jujamcyn’s Walter Kerr Theathre di Broadway dal 12 ottobre 2017 per 236 volte e che ha già vinto il Tony Award diventa un album, “Springsteen On Broadway”, che esce in 4LP, 2CD e in versione digitale.

Disponibile da oggi in digitale, tratto dall’album, il brano “Land Of Hope And Dreams”.

“Springsteen On Broadway” sarà anche il titolo dello speciale show trasmesso da Netflix dal 16 dicembre, il giorno dopo la fine delle repliche dello spettacolo.

Prima di tutto “Springsteen On Broadway” è una serata unica a teatro basata sull’autobiografia “Born To Run” di Bruce e vede protagonisti solo lui, la sua chitarra, il suo pianoforte e le sue storie. Proprio questi racconti compaiono anche nell’album come introduzione a ogni traccia, registrata in maniera unica.

L’audio è stato mixato dal leggendario Bob Clearmountain e masterizzato da Bob Ludwig.

“Springsteen on Broadway” è iniziato il 3 ottobre 2017 con una serie di previews, ha debuttato ufficialmente il 12 ottobre 2017 e ha registrato il sold-out in ogni data. Doveva durare otto settimane ed è stato prolungato per tre volte: è stato un successo enorme sia di pubblico che di critica che ha apprezzato questa versione così intima, appassionata e personale di Springsteen.

La carriera di Springsteen dura da più di 40 anni, dalla pubblicazione di “‘Greetings from Asbury Park, NJ’ nel 1973 (Columbia Records). Ha pubblicato più di 18 album in studio, vinto 20 Grammy, un Oscar e un Tony, è stato inserito nella Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, ha ricevuto un Kennedy Center Honor ed è stato nominato “Person of the Year” da MusiCares nel 2013. La biografia “Born to Run” (pubblicata in Italia da Mondadori) e l’album che l’accompagnava, “Chapter and Verse”, sono usciti nel settembre del 2016 e nello stesso anno Bruce è stato insignito anche della Medaglia presidenziale della libertà. Il The River tour del 2016 è stato nominato il “tour dell’anno” sia da Billboard che da Pollstar.
